Adobe has launched Firefly 3, the latest iteration of its generative image model, with a focus on commercial safety and authenticity. Every output now includes C2PA‑verified metadata, cryptographically binding creator, model, and edit history into the file. This ensures provenance across Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere workflows and satisfies upcoming EU transparency requirements.
Beyond compliance, Firefly 3 introduces realism upgrades—new diffusion sampling that improves texture and lighting fidelity—and an expanded training set composed exclusively of licensed and public‑domain imagery.
